I'm not exactly sure why I'm drawn to writing a post here...no one that I know really reads/posts to Xanga anyway.  Maybe I should just get a real diary and write in that to get some things out.  For now, this will work though. 

I've made it to North Dakota with Ryan, as you could probably tell from the last post.  It's gorgeous out here, yet its nothing like Michigan.  I've adjusted pretty well, and for the most part, I'm not DYING to come home.  I like it here because this is our place (mine and Ryan's), because I get to start fresh with new friendships and new opportunities that, lets face it, I would not be getting in Michigan because of its bad economy.  But at the same time there are a lot of things about North Dakota that I'm not sure will ever come close to toping Michigan.  I miss all the trees and wooded areas in Michigan (ND is basically all prairie land which makes it possible to see for miles), I miss that going to the next populated town/city over didn't require a 2 hour drive.  I miss actually knowing people, and being able to call them up to talk or hang out, and I miss the people I always felt comfortable with.  I know that in time I will make some friends here, but I'm not sure they will be anything like the friends I have in Michigan.

Hmmm...at least I have a job basically lined up.  I just hope I like it.  It's not the kind of job that just anyone can do.  As a matter of fact, most people would not be right for this job.  I just hope that I'm one of the few that can do it and sticks with it.  Otherwise its back to the applications...

So....thats good for now.  I need to get in the shower.  Maybe I'll be posting more frequently now?
